About Council

The U.S.–Uzbekistan Business & Investment Council is a bilateral platform designed to deepen economic cooperation, expand commercial partnerships and drive long-term investment between the United States and Uzbekistan. Our mission is to provide a clear and efficient environment where businesses from both countries can identify opportunities and pursue sustainable growth. Created to support the strategic dialogue between the two nations, the Council serves as a central gateway for investors engaging with Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing economy. We offer access to vetted projects, key decision-makers, and reliable market information, helping companies navigate the investment process with confidence. By connecting U.S. investors, Uzbek enterprises, financial institutions, and government partners, the Council fosters practical collaboration and accelerates high-priority projects. Our work strengthens market entry, promotes innovation and supports the long-term economic partnership between the United States and Uzbekistan.

The main functions of the COUNCIL

  1. Strengthening Strategic Trade and Investment Cooperation

    Advancing long-term, mutually beneficial commercial relations between Uzbekistan and the United States through coordinated government and private-sector engagement

  2. Coordinating Major Business Initiatives and Projects

    Developing and aligning strategic investment proposals, monitoring the implementation of large trade, industrial, and infrastructure projects and ensuring their effective execution

  3. Creating a Dedicated U.S.–Uzbek Investment Fund

    Forming a special fund to mobilize additional investments into Uzbekistan, with DFC and Uzbekistan as anchor investors and attracting major IFIs (EBRD, IFC, ADB) to finance key national projects

  4. Support for Entrepreneurs and Investors

    Ensuring efficient communication between Uzbek and American businesses, facilitating project preparation and streamlining investor support mechanisms across government agencies.
