Background

A New Era of Strategic Alliance

From diplomatic ties to an Expanded Strategic Partnership

Diplomatic relations were established on February 19, 1992. Over three decades, the relationship has evolved into a robust alliance. A pivotal moment occurred in May 2018 during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United States, which laid the foundation for a new era of strategic partnership. Today, this dialogue has been elevated to an Expanded Strategic Partnership, as agreed during the latest high-level consultations in Washington.
